Dougy Center
At Dougy Center, our mission is to provide grief support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults, and their families can share their experiences before and after a death. We provide support and training locally, nationally, and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children who are grieving.
Friends of the Children
At Friends of the Children, we believe that every child deserves a champion, someone who listens, cares, and supports them through life's challenges. For over 30 years, we’ve been revolutionizing the way youth facing great obstacles are supported through our unique, proven, and courageous professional mentoring model. Each child, starting as young as age 4, is paired with a dedicated mentor - called a Friend - who stays with them through high school graduation, 12+ years, no matter what.
New Avenues for Youth
New Avenues for Youth is a Portland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and intervention of youth homelessness. Our services for young people (ages 9-25) focus on the individual—their experiences, identities, needs, and goals—and helping them make positive change in their lives.
